A Gainesville client stopped by recently with his Mercedes Smart fortwo, looking to improve the sound quality of the factory stereo system. He wanted better sound quality with solid bass. After we spent some time with the client and presented his options, he made his decision and the Sound Depot install team got to work on this project.
For the source, the client chose our best-selling Kenwood DDX395 double-DIN touchscreen DVD player. This source provides a wealth of features, including Bluetooth streaming audio for excellent smartphone integration.
For the power of the system, we installed the Kenwood XR400-4 400 watt system amplifier. We were able to use half of the amplifier to power the interior speakers, while the other half powers the JL Audio CP108lg-w3v3 subwoofer.
While we were in the vehicle, we installed Hertz Dieci Coaxial speakers. These efficient speakers play loud and clean, and provided a much better listening experience.
After the install was complete, our entire team was blown away with the amount of sound this little car produced. The client was pleased with the car stereo installation in his Smart fortwo.
