Recently, a client found us online via a Google search. After reading our awesome reviews, the Gainesville client decided to stop by for an audio upgrade in his 1964 Lincoln Continental for a simple audio upgrade. The client wanted to keep that car looking factory, so we suggested a Bluetooth interface that would turn his cellphone into the audio source for the new system. We decided that the JL Audio MBT was the best option. Whenever you use a BT audio interface device, you need an amplifier to provide the power to the new speakers. The client chose the very small but powerful Memphis SC2.100 amplifier.
For factory speaker replacement, the client needed one 5×7′ speaker and one 6X9′ speaker. The client liked the sound of the Hertz speakers on our display, so we installed the Hertz energy speakers. We installed the amp and Bluetooth receiver on a custom-made ABS amp rack and tucked it away neatly under the dash.
After we completed the installation, the custom was pleased with our ability to complete the install in the manner he had dreamed of. The sound quality beat his expectations.
